UN MULINO A PORTOFINO

Sul Monte di Portofino, meravigliosa oasi di vegetazione mediterranea salvaguardata da sempre, gli intatti profumi, i colori e gli incantevoli scorci creano quella magica atmosfera che lo rendono unico.

Sorgenti perenni di acqua limpida hanno nei secoli passati favorito la presenza di Mulini per macinare olive e granaglie (i Mulini dell’Acquaviva) che ancora oggi segnano il percorso di uno dei sentieri più suggestivi del Monte.

Uno di questi Mulini, appena restaurato nel pieno rispetto di struttura, materiali e colori è proposto in affitto a chi volesse godere della pace e della bellezza di questo luogo, salvaguardato e protetto nella sua identità dall’Ente Parco Portofino.

Il Mulino, pubblicato nel volume “I Mulini dell’Acquaviva”, ha mantenuto nel tempo i tipici colori della facciata, a strisce rosa e gialle riprodotte negli stessi toni originali.

La vicina strada carrabile (percorribile solo dai residenti) si collega al Mulino con un tipico sentiero terrazzato, che fa parte di uno degli itinerari pedonali più suggestivi del Monte di Portofino.

Circondato dalla ricca vegetazione del bosco di castagni il Mulino, conosciuto da sempre come “Cà del Nespolo”, sorge su uno spiazzo, con il sentiero da un lato e il torrentello dell’Acquaviva dall’altro.

Fruscii del bosco, cinguettii, stormire delle foglie e gorgoglio dell’acqua sono la sua cornice sonora.

Il Rustico si compone di due corpi con ingressi indipendenti.

Nel corpo centrale, il piano terra con pavimento di ardesia ligure è uno spazio aperto con cucina in muratura e piano di ardesia, soggiorno e camino che si collega al primo piano con scala a vista in castagno.

Il primo piano, con il pavimento in legno di rovere, l’alto soffitto a campata tradizionale a vista è un’accogliente camera a due letti, con bagno con doccia.

Nel corpo più piccolo adiacente il piano terra attrezzato a lavanderia ripostiglio ed il primo piano camera da letto-studio, dalle cui finestre la vista si spinge fino al mare.

                                              A MILL IN PORTOFINO

On the Portofino hillside, a splendid oasis of the Mediterranean where nature has been preserved intact  since   the old times, the perfumes, the colours and the charming landscapes contribute in creating a magic and unique athmosphere.

The perennial sources of clear water have in the past centuries     led  to the building of  a series of mills to grind grains and olives. These still punctuate the route of one of the most  colourful itineraries on the  Hillside.

It is one of these mills, just restored in   respect of the structure,materials and colours that we offer for rent to the connoisseur that would like to  enjoy  the calm and of the beauty of the site , that has been protected in   it's  identity by the Government through the Ente Parco Portofino.

Our mill, published in the book "I mulini dell'Acquaviva"has mantained  over generations,  the typical colours of the body, striped in pink and yellow, that have been left original.

 T he access road, (reserved for residents), is linked to the mill by a  traditional track, part of one of the most suggestive itineraries of the Hill.

 Surrounded by the rich growth of a wood  mostly  of chestnuts, the Mill  , known to everyone as the "ca' del Nespolo"has on one side the track, and on the other the Acquaviva ("living water") brook.

The structure is composed of two adjoining  buildings,   each with a separate entrance.

In the main building the ground floor, with its floor of  local slate is an open space, with a well built complete cooking  area  that blends into a living room with its fireplace. This room is linked through a stair in chestnut in the local style to the first floor, with its oak pavement and  high beamed ceilings that makes a comfortable twin beds room, with washroom and shower.                                                                  

The smaller building "the torretta" has in the ground floor a room for washing and storage, whilst the first floor, with   vista  over  the sea, is a study doubling   as  a  bedroom.
